So many of the people that I know are struggling right now. Financially, relationally, and no one knows what to do about it. There’s an underlying anxiety with the state of the world. There’s the constant struggle to live the life you want and yet all the responsibilities, circumstances, and opportunities (or lack thereof) that the universe gives us. The question becomes, how do I juggle it all? How do I find my happy despite of the load I am carrying?
Where do you decompress? Is it in the woods? Is it by the water? Is it going home to your parents? Is it in the arms of the one you love? Is it a mix of all of these or others?
We’re not meant to live in a constant state of anxiety. We all need to have a safe space where breathing can return to normal, where the constant state of high alert can relax.
Find your safe space. If you don’t have one, reach out. Let’s figure it out together. Love is the base. When you feel loved your heart beat slows. Syncing to the rhythms around you. If you’re in nature, it might be the sound of the waves, it might be the lap of the water on the shore of a lake, it might be the breeze in the trees, it may even be the scurry of the squirrels. If you’re around your loved ones, a long hug releases tension, your heartbeats and even breath will sync. But you have to allow yourself the time. You have to consciously lean into love, holding nothing back. Let love wrap around every bit of anxiety and let it rest.
When the moment passes, the problems will still be there, but you will be equipped to walk through it better. Breath, rest, and let love overtake your soul as much as possible.
